I love art i am surrounded by it everyday my boss owns several gallery's. I also draw and paint myself. I have since i was about 12. My mom also draws. And my brother. I guess it is in our blood. I use it as a get way from stress.

As soon as I was retired, I took drawing lessons. At the beginning, I was drawing like a child in primary school! Then, simultaneously, I took painting and I'm now a decent artist using painting knife and oil on cotton frames.
This is a great thing that happened to me, discovering that gift!
P.S. I don't do abstract, I do modern impressionism.

I love it!
Its my passion and life's blood. Ive been doing it since I was 3. Life without art, is like living in "black & white", like the beginning of the Wizard of OZ when Dorothy is in Kansas. Life is dull and colorless, bleak and disparaging.
Art (for the artist) is mental escapism. Nothing NEEDS to make sense, yet (to an artist) it all makes sense. Painting, drawing...our medium...is like our diaries. We "paint" the emotions, as a writer would write the words.
My art (though not my main occupation) is still a very important aspect of my life and personality, that to not indulge in it would be a crime against myself. I would cease to exist if not for my artistic expression.

artist quality runs in my family
my father was a simple artist with few pencil strokes but his art looked good
my brother got into painting and sold quite a few over the years. I used to watch him play with colors and shading. He is also very good at making furniture.
I also paint, I like sculpting, crafts, and making jewelry

If I had more money, I would fill all of my home with art but
what I have up now is very nice and will have to surfice.
I do other crafts and have other talents , I do not draw very good myself and envy those that can.
Do you show your work anywhere?

Yes I do I love painting but I equally love sketching because it has so much detail.
