there are a lot of ways that many people say about how to fix this and that to improve your golf game. What really helped me wasn't changing my swing, but changing my mental status when hitting the ball. Instead of thinking about "hitting" the ball, think more about where you want the ball to go. Also, don't try crushing the ball, let your swing hit the ball and don't block it from doing that.

The basic rule for any golf shot is squaring the face of the club at impact. With iron shots, especially PW-6 irons, you want to hit DOWN on the ball to create backspin and get the ball airborne. Not so with today's drivers. Tee it high, catch it on the upswing and let the huge 460 cc club head do the work.
When I have problems with my driver, it is usually a snap-hook or "worm-burner" due to over swinging the club and coming over the top with my right hand. I remember to slow down my tempo, keep the club low and level on the back swing and follow through smoothly without trying so hard to crush it.

Try really keeping an eye on the ball as you come through, so that you see contact. This simple idea is one that most amateur golfers seem to forget. This isn't the same as the commonly prescribed "keep your head down", simply make sure that you see contact, and then you can follow the flight of the ball. Hope this helps!

Ever skip a rock? You can't throw it straight down to the lake or it wont skip. It's a sweeping motion. Same this is true for the driver. Its a pure fluid motion. Any interuption in tempo...ur in the rough.

try swinging it back in a slow straight line. you could try to put another ball 6 inches behind the ball your trying to hit and see if you can push it straight back. those tips will help you hit the ball straighter
