If we leave now, all the troop deaths that many others like to use as some sort of ticker, will truely be for nothing at all.
Yes, we need to begin some type of withdrawl. We can start to withdrawl as soon as the Iraqi's begin to take care of themselves and get over thier religious groups and realize they share the same God.
As far as Afghanastan, I don't see what the issue is there. Do they even have their own military yet? We are doing well with the small numbers we have there.

So then your freedom isn't worth defending? I am sick of all of the poisoned minds that the liberal media has created in this country. I spent 10 years in the USMC and I fought for the rights that you take for grated every day.
It doesn't really matter if you like the war, it was going on long before we arrived in Iraq. The fundamentalist Muslims were at war with us and we didn't even know it. It took them committing a hideous act of cowardous terror on our own soil.
Quit whining! The problems have not been solved and if we bring the troops home right now we open ourselves to another September 11th. We are not fighting a traditional enemy.
I'm guessing you've never served your country. If I'm correct, then maybe you should keep your military opinions to yourself and thank God that there are people with the cojones that it takes to fight for your freedom.

Why not. Pull out and let the terrorists devise another 9/11. I don't live near a big city and if the terrorists want to attack DC, NYC, or LA, so what? You might want to deport all the people living here that came from the Middle East too.

New problems have arisen. Or more correctly old problems have resurfaced. When Sadam was in charge, there was no political ability to stand up against him. Since he has been overthrown and executed, old enemies have seized the chance to regain their momentum. Still, I don't believe that we should be there to end a civil war that has been raging off and on for the past 1000 years.

And in about four years you will be whining about we we are not protecting you.
In fact if we lose in Iraq then we are setting us up for really nasty war in about ten years.
(And it would have to be fought with a draft because too many troops will remember how you let us down the last time.)

If you want to see new terrorist attacks, if you like the sight of planes flying into buildings, if you want to watch your child, brother, mother, father, slain on the streets here...go ahead and take the pressure off of them. Bring the troops home. But be ready to be a casulty because it will happen. Radical Islamic Muslims want to tell you exactly what to do and how to live and IF you don't agree they will kill you. WAR IS A TERRIBLE THING BUT IT IS NOT THE WORST OF THINGS.

Thank God you aren't in control of anything. It's not a matter of what you want but rather as case of what has to be done before they have completed their job. You'd be taking food out of the mouths of their families and you'd be sending them into a lesser paying job. You want to wreck other people's lives?
Stay out of our way and let them do what THEY signed up to do!

You must take your talking points from the '60s radicals.
Unlike Viet Nam, I am a Viet Nam Vet, we need to stay and fight until it is done.
