Did write poetry, and he was not shy about sharing it. In fact several entire books of the Bible (Psalms, Job and Song of Solomon) are poetry. 150 poems in the book of Psalms alone. Plus many other parts of scripture, both Old and New Testaments, are poems.

Many of the oldest section of scriputre, including the creation story in Genesis 1, are in poetry form. As they began as oral traditions, poetry was used to make the memorizing of them easier, and to prevent error in their transmission. (Change a word in a poem at is a lot more obvious then in prose).

In her younger days she wrote "poems". Wisdom makes sense out of chaos. Male scribes stole them, and incorporated them into the mans book, and claimed them as their own. Those crooks!

The bible is very poetic. Most Hymes are songs made from bible scripture, as well as modern day songs -Gospel, Christian Rock...
