Heaven is an invention of primitive people to make life bearable. They thought earth was flat and the sky was a sort of ceiling, with heaven on the second floor. That is why it is usually depicted with clouds and blue sky.

When you die the plug is pulled and there is nothing more. Make the most of life here and now. Leave a legacy of good deeds and thoughts. That will be far more rewarding than holding out for a mythical afterlife.

Actually the Bible says that there will be a new heaven and a new earth. So we will have an eternity to enjoy all of creation. We will be with all of the brothers and sisters who we love. No one will get sick. No one will die. No one will be disabled. There will be no crime.

There will be no lack of things to do. If you can't think of anything to do given all of creation and an unlimited time, then that's too bad for you! I pray that GOD opens your eyes! What do you enjoy doing now? Certainly if all the bad things were taken away (sickness, crime, etc) and you could focus on the good things forever, that would be good.

We will also be able to enjoy fellowship with GOD and (since He is infinite) we can learn about Him forever. This you might not understand unless you have faith. Jesus is the Pearl of Great Price. We love Him more than anything and can be with Him forever.

I believe that there will be plenty to do in heaven. If one is to assume that God is pure good, He certainly wouldn't create an eternity that would bore His followers to the point they wished the escape of death. Though the Bible says more about Hell than Heaven, I believe that there will be work to do. There will be learning (just because we go there doesn't mean we will instantly gain all knowledge). There will be an entire universe to explore and I believe beings in that universe to govern.

Actually, I'm not inclined to believe eternity will be boring there! Revelation 1:6 says something to the effect that we will "reign as kings and princes with Him," though I'm not certain what we would be reigning over, it seems to me that by that time, the believers who enter into God's kingdom are rewarded with a renewed trust and ability to lead others. Sounds pretty good to me!

I always thought it weird when christians tell me if I worship Jesus, I'll go to heaven so I can spend all of eternity worshipping Jesus.

That's like saying if you practice slamming your fingers in the door you'll be able to spend all eternity slamming your fingers in the door. What's the point?

Heaven will be the complete opposite of boring!
God knows you better than you know yourself. He will have a job for you to do that you will love!
Then there's the no pain, death, sickness part. And all the beauty stuff to boot. And also the total love. Once I experienced God's love and it almost brought me to my knees it was so intense! Ever feel love like that? I actually had to pray for it to stop, it was too much for me to handle. It did.

Time is meaningless in what we would call "Heaven" 10000 years can pass in the blink of an eye.

I'm sure we could find something to do.
