Depends on circumstances.
Once I was having a hard time forgiving someone. I prayed to God and told him I know I should but just couldn't.
A few days later a friend just happen to come by (she knew nothing of my problem) and bring me a book about forgiveness! It changed my life.
No coincidence!

It depends. I believe in coincidence, but I also think that not everything is coincidence. We need to think critically about this. Lets say there is this girl who's in love with a boy, and she asks God to give her sign that he's the one. The next day someone starts talking about this boy to her. Is this a sign or just coincidence? Here she should ask critical questions and wait a bit for the universe/God to reveal more. Because it could just be a coincidence, especially if the person knows the boy and is aware that she knows him too. You see how difficult it can be?
Sometimes what appears as coincidence leads us on a certain path, even though most of the time we're not aware of it. I believe in coincidence but I also believe in God, destiny and His infinite love for me and that He does have a plan.

yes and no. I think coincidences happen but sometimes, things in life that may seem like a coincidence are really the result of how you live your lifestyle and the choices you have made in your life.
I have noticed that many people seem to say they agree that coincidences are real and they profess that they believe everything happens for a reason, do you guys know those things are opposites.

I do believe in coincidence very strongly. Without coincidence what would there be? - fate. Fate means there is no free will; you have to fulfil a set of actions and thoughts to fulfil that fate meaning you cannot have free will within that structure. As to anyone who suggests multiple possible fates - that makes it not fate for you were not destined to follow just one path.
Fate also implies a writer or a creator that cares enough about one insignificant planet in the huge universe to write and make us follow one set of actions and thoughts throughout our entire lives; making them all interact with everyone else's fate. This has to be done for billions upon billions of people; everyone that has and did ever exist. How can anyone say that a being who did that as well as creating the billions of stars in each galaxy and the billions of galaxies whilst not leaving a trace of the being's own existence (invisible, undetectable to science etc.) be more plausible and likely than that it happened by chance? Billions of stars in each galaxy with billions of galaxies and that's just in one universe; several people have suggested there are others. Presumably there are billions of planets in total considering the huge quantities of stars. Is it not possible that just one planet out of all of those billions had the building blocks for life and was the right distance from its sun?

Believe? Not exactly.
As far as I can tell, things happen. Human nature is to make up a narrative that brings all of these events into a coherent story with 'meaning.'
There's enough cause and effect that these makes sense to us. But we often attribute cause and effect inappropriately. A lot more is coincidence or random than we're comfortable accepting.

calling it coincidence makes a judgement
that it happened by chance not by design
synchronicity doesnt make that judgement in my mind
it may be by chance or may be by some grand design
i believe keeping an open mind like this
will open your eyes
if you look around you
you will see patterns throughout all of nature
then why would there not also be patterns
in the unfolding of events
its all a matter of perspective, y'know...
