Yes, and someday hopefully man will evolve to be as wise as our primate cousins.

About 50% of the general US public believe in evolution. A much higher percentage of the European public believe in evolution. About 95% of scientists believe in evolution, but when you start looking at geneticists and molecular biologists, the percentage is more like 100%.

The evidence is overwhelming. You are not just genetically related to monkeys or apes but to varying degrees with every living thing.

A simple "yes or no" will not suffice since evolution is actually fact and does not require belief or faith but can prove our relationships to other primates via genetics and DNA comparisons.

But......... your question was not a question that requires a yes or a no. Your question was HOW MANY of you believe..... Not DO YOU believe in evolution.

In any case, Yes...... i do believe we evolved from earlier primates. The evidence is overwhelming. It's better than believing that human beings simply appeared on this planet out of nowhere with no logical explanation & believing that some higher being is responsible for poofing us into existance.

And the tooth fairy isn't real either!

It''s easier to believe that we evolved from apes rather than two people (Adam and Eve) populated the world! The characterisitics are there, you watch the way Chimps behave in such a humanlike manner. The only thing that bugs me is how come Apes still exist if they all evolved to humans?

I think that the word "believe" is misused here.

I don't "believe" in trees - they ARE, without benefit of my belief or disbelief.

I am genetically related to monkeys, and fruit flies, and fruit trees and every other form of life on this planet, to varying degrees.

Sure, I believe in evolution. I also believe I'm genetically related to monkeys. As long as I'm not descended from them, I'm fine.

Same as others have said - I am not sure "believe" is the correct word. I accept the existence of evolution just as I accept the existence of multiplication and Australia.

Yes. It is proven fact that we are genetically related to monkeys. I don't think that is ever disputed.

Much as I try not to think about it too hard.... I am "genetically related" to every living thing on this planet.
I see the cats as my kith and kin.
I see the trees as my cousins.
I see the flu as my senile grandparent.

But I will never come to terms with being genetically related to chavs....
