How do you pronounce the letter X in Chinese, as in Xia.?

'xi' = she but shorter than in the English.
'a' = as in 'ah' as in 'father' bit again shorter.

It sounds like a light "sh" sound.

it depends. it could be "Shiya" or "Tzia" or simply "Zsia"
