It's going to take some vigilant training and time. First, you'll have to watch the dog. Usually dogs sniff the ground and walk in a circle before dropping trough and pissing on the floor. When you see this, reinforce negatively by saying "No", then carry the dog to the pad and hope he pees there. If he does, then praise the dog, give him a treat. Keep repeating until the dog looks for the pad. They'll always look for the pad now.

DON'T use any kind of pads, paper ext...... It confuses them

One of the best ways to train a puppy is with rewards.
Take him/her outside... IF they go potty make sure you give them a treat with in 3-5 seconds of them going. OR you could even give them a treat WHILE they're going. YES I said while.
Animals are smart, and they will remember "treats" cause they like them. If you start to give them their rewards when or immediately after they do something YOU want them to, they will soon learn to do this all the time.

IF they go in the house and look at you wanting a treat, pick them up and put them out side right away.
I should also ask where you keep them during the day if you're not at home?

What ever you do, DON'T let them claim the whole house. Keep them locked up. I know it sounds bad but it's not. They're pets not kids.
I suggest a small area like a create or a carrier. Yes I know it seems small, but you'll thank me for it in the long run. Most dogs will NOT potty where they sleep. Would you want to lie in your own crap? So if you keep them in tight (but not to tight) areas you'll find it much easier to just come home and take them out immediately. They will go since they haven't all day, and then you can reward them, and they will learn.

Watch for the sings.... After playing, eating or a nap... get them out right away. 9 times out of 10 after all of these they will have to go.

But the biggest thing is consistency!!! You need to keep doing the same thing over and over, and don't stop or change. This will not only throw your little one off, but you'll have a much harder time training an older dog then if they're still young.

potty training is hard. What you want to do is praise him and give him a treat when he goes on the pad, but do nothing when he goes on the floor. He will learn that it is better to go on the pad cuz he gets a treat. When he starts going on the pad all the time, just give him a treat sometimes.

How can tell if the got to Go: After your dog eats, watch him. If he starts sniffing the floor, pick him up and put him on the pad. He is probably sniffing to find a good place to "go". He does a good job, give him a treat. Good Luck!

See How long does it usually take 4 a 7 week old Shitz to crap outside after she has eaten. Take care using the pads as I have heard reports of dogs liking to go on carpets and furniture when they have been trained this way.

what i do when i get a new puppy is. for the first week . i will jus stare at it once i get home. and if it shows any sign of peeing or poo-ing i will immediately carry it to the pee tray than wait for it to pee n poo. than i praise when my dog is done and give it a treat than i continue watchin. and it goes on and on. till my dog gets it right

but this only will work becuz when i go to work i keep it locked in its cage. so it wont have any chance to anyhow pee and poo. so when its finally toilet trained. than its free to roam.

JR took 3 days . one week to really really make no mistake
chi hua hua took a month.

well jus my 2 cents worth. hope it helps :)
