I keep getting ingrown hairs from shaving . I use been a gel for a mach 3 razor , but then I changed to a shaving creme. What do you think is better for you to get stop the ingrown hairs?

My husband has this same problem and he uses a cream that is Rx only. The tube is Dark yellow and brown and on it it says Clioquinol 3% with Hydrocortisone 1% cream. I believe its by Qualitest. This cream works very well for him.

To prevent ingrown hairs, try exfoliating before you shave. You can use a scrub or even a washcloth ( the cheap ones work great because they are a little rough). I don't think shaving gels or creams cause ingrown hairs.

I don't think cremes or gels can cause ingrown hairs. try shaving,both with and against the grain.\, and see which one does better for you
