That depends on you really. Babies react to water very well at a very early age as it is like being back in the womb, the earlier you take them swimming the earlier they will learn. I believe it is about untill the age of six weeks babies have a sense of being in the womb when they are in water it is all very natural to them. But having said that, some health professionals will tell you that you shouldn't take your baby swimming untill you have had them immunised because of catching infections. What you decide is up to you.

NHS & the yank branch of Paediatrics (everywhere you're from) state which you would be able to take slightly one swimming at any age they do no longer even ought to have any of their injections. for people who're annoying approximately germs the chlorine interior the water will kill any germs or micro organism so your infant would be completely secure. they say it particularly is greater to take them youthful and enable them to get used to it and that via doing this it could ward off your baby coming up phobias of water. maximum public swimming pools do mom and infant sessions from 8 weeks plus (it particularly is while babies can carry their very own heads up with stability). My son is likewise 9 months and we are taking him swimming quickly we'd've in the previous yet we purely purely havent had probability or been busy doing different issues. you are able to not preserve your babies perpetually, they are going to ought to get sick each and every so frequently to construct an immune gadget in any different case they might have a severely better probability of coming up Leukaemia (maximum cancers of the white blood cells/immune gadget). As your infant is on the age the place he will/ought to have had all his jabs up thus far he's robust to circulate it is likewise mind-blowing excersise and great for bonding with him besides :) For the guy who mentioned 3 years incase of ''germs'' in my opinion i think of that's ridiculous. i'm hoping this facilitates :) x

My son was about a month old. My friends even put him under water... I was scared to. But they hold their breath automatically, to this day he has never been afraid of the water, and he loves to swim. He is 5 almost 6 now, and he was jumping off of diving boards when he was 3. So I would say get them use to it as early as possible.
