Workers comp Drs are notorious for doing this. Get a lawyer, it'll be free until you get paid. He will send you to another Dr for a 2nd opinion. This Dr will definently find something wrong and start treating you. You will most likely have to go to therapy 2-3 times a week and get chiropractic, exercises, and massages. Meanwhile you're lawyer is working on a lawsuit and settlement. It takes a long time. You're Dr has to treat you for (now this depends on the state you live in) about 6 months when he will then deem you atleast 10% disabled, meaning you will always suffer back pain and be limited in activities and amounts you can lift. You won't have to pay for you're Drs or Therapy, either worker's comp or lawyers take care of it. If you are supposed to pay a portion, the lawyers will take it out of your settlement. Keep this in mind when agreeing to a settlement so you're not suprprised when that high amount is only a few grand in your hand. good luck, email me if you have any quesitons. I'm going thru something similar right now. (car accident )

Yes!!! I hurt my back 2-24-03 they did the same thing! they forced me back to work I couldn't take the pain so I went to my own doctor 1 year later I had an anterior/posterior spinal fusion I have been fighting workmans comp now over 4 years my hearing is may 15th of this years, My surgeon finally wrote a letter stating that all of my problems came from the injury, they owe me 4 years of backpay and they have to pay me permanant disability, believe me I would give all of this back if I could erase the day and have my back! I am on a 19 pound weight limit for the rest of my life, please what ever you do see a lawyer that handles workmans comp. they will only get paid if you win! don't let it take 4 plus years like mine is taking I am on my second lawyer because the first one did nothing. the first one actually told me not to get any treatment until I settle. if I would have listen to him I would be in a wheelchair right now! I went a year with spinal fluid leaking on my nerves, all the workmans comp doctor did was give me narcotics and ran no tests not even an x-ray! he even wrote on the diagnosis that I had a mild strain in my back, I have never heard of a mild strain requiring an 8 hour surgery, this is one surgery I would not wish on anyone! talk about pain and suffering! and even today I still walk around in pain, I can't lift my daughter she was only 2 years old when I had this injury, and anyone with a little kid knows they need their mommy to hold them, they robbed me of those years but do you think they will compensate for that? nobody can give me those times back. And the real catcher is that I was working in the health care proffession ! CALL A LAWYER TODAY!

You might want to see a chiropractor first, as they can be a big help. You could also go back to the company doctor. Find out if your company has disability insurance for employees - some companies do. You could hire an attorney, but the court is going to want to see that you exhausted medical remedies first.
