Thanks for all your help, I figured out by the address the actual name of the place. It's Affiliated Resource Group. Rochester is only a few miles from where I live so I'll go check it out. Thanks again

They are apparently a credit collection agency. file a grievance with all of the credit companies and ask them to explain the source of the debt to you. They can not just ask you for money without explaining where the debt originally came from first.

316 FIRST AVE SW
ROCHESTER , MN 55902-1088
(800) 859-7435

Here's a thread regarding another person who was placed into collection for $65, might be of assistance, http://creditboards.com/forums/lofiversion/index.php/t203703.html is from late 2006 however.

There is a KNS Canada Inc but they are a contributor to Universities in Canada not a funding company to the general public and they deal with hundreds of thousands of dollars...not amounts such as yours.

Then there is Kns Consultants
(323) 661-0443 4220 W Sunset Blvd
Los Angeles, CA which are financial planners associated with a number of law firms as well in LA

There is also KNS DISTRIBUTORS, L.L.C. 02/09/07 02/09/07
METAIRIE, LA 70003
CORPORATIONS FILINGS: 2/10/07 THRU 2/16/07 looks like a new Corp

Your best bet is to contact the Credit bureau and request further info regarding this and also ask for the address and official name of the co. putting this claim against you. $11 is a pathetically piddly amount to be collecting on....idiots, sounds like some kind of a scam.

Indicate you do not know anything about this company, have never heard of them and you would like your credit record to be corrected immediately. They will probably need a letter to that affect before they'll act.

Good luck with this

If you Google KNS Funding, you get a thread (about the 2nd one down) regarding a potential trend for this company doing this. It appears perhaps the think you'll send $ to get it removed rather than fight?

It looks like they might be a Collection Agency or a Creditor.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help to you!
