At first I didn't know there was other allegry meds I could take to help with my dog.And that was the only reason I gave her up.Then I told to call the doctor about meds for me for allegrys.And the lady I know that has her. They took her to there vet and had her spayed and a couple of shots.The other owner told them it was ok, she would let me have my dog back.Now the vet says they have a contract with the humane society to not let me have the dog back. I am now a emotional wreck, and I visited my dog at the vet today and love her so much. And really want her back.

Unfortunately,once you sign one over you sign all ownership rights away. Unless the new owner decides to have pity o your situation you will not regain ownership. There are so many dogs available that deserve loving homes I'm positive you will find another. It's very stressful on a dog to be rehomed. Please adopt another instead of turning this poor pups world upside down again.Good luck
Curious as to why the dog wasn't spayed and up to date on shots while in your care?

once the owner takes the dog home from the humane society it is there dog and they can give it away to somebody else if they want to here in the panhandle of texas. most of the time the contract means that they will take care of the dog. you need to talk the humane society. and tell them the reason that you gave the dog away in the first place and see what they say.

i dont know what county you're in (i saw you said VA in another post) but here in fairfax co, if you relinquish your animal, they will not give it back to you. if you know the people who have it now, just take it back, and just re-license it.
i dont really understand why you gave it up tho. you had allergies? or the dog did? if it was you, there are MILLIONS of allergy meds out there, and even shots. take it from me, i'm allergic to everything, and i've had 3 dogs in my lifetime.

Offer to pay for the care your dog received first. Then contact your own doctor and have him/her contact the humane society to explain your medical condition.

My mom is allergic to dogs yet kept collies for years and lived with the allergies because she loved her dogs more than her own health...you should have known better, your loss.

You dont love her so much.... you gave her away. How did you not know there were allergy meds out there? Leave these people alone! You could have found your dog a home but instead you dumped her off at the pound.

court. try to fight it. or just kidnap it seriously.when i was 15 my dog was at the pound and i didnt have the 70 dollars to bail her out so at night me and my bro cut a hole in the gate of her pen and stole her. never got caught. good luck im sorry
