Peter ever say to Jesus you can have my axe? Paul ever say, you have my bow?

Of course, in Lord of the Rings, Gandalf would more closely parallel Jesus, as he is sent by the Valar, along with 4 others, to address the threat of evil in Middle Earth. Frodo is some poor schmo who just happened to have a really magical object and a conscience at the same time. And, as we see at the end, Frodo succumbs to the Ring's influence. He is saved by grace (i.e., his refusal to kill Gollum long before helped to ensure his own survival at the end.)

One point of similarity: the Fellowship was chosen for inconspicuousness; the Walkers were either disguised or unknown to Sauron, so as not to attract attention and doom the quest. The apostles were not, as far as I remember, particularly lofty in their worldly positions, either. In retrospect, they helped to usher in the "New Age" in reckoning of time BC to AD, at least, just as the destruction of the One Ring and the ascension of Aragorn to the thrones of Gondor and Arnor marked the beginning of the Fourth Age in Middle Earth.

As to whether they said, "you have my bow," I think Orlando Bloom said that! *snicker* --looks for Bloom to play an apostle someday...ponders the idea of Sir Ian McKellen playing Jesus...uh can't see it! I don't really that many parallels between the Nine Walkers and the Twelve Apostles and Jesus...but that's just me! Even Boromir was direct about his betrayal. He fell to the power of the One Ring and acquitted himself well after his realization of what he had done--falling in battle to protect Merry and Pippin. No pieces of silver there...

Peter didn't have an axe, John the Baptist did. (The axe is at the foot of the tree) Hmm, I wonder if thats the tree of knowledge of good and bad? Peter was given a great sword - See second horseman. Jesus already has a double edged sword (it cuts both ways). Paul never had a bow, he is the destroyer. Julius Caesar, the man who put the face on Democracy, holds the military weapon (bow) in his hand. See first horseman.
Edit: You are a good example of a person reinterpreting someone elses book. Has that happened with the bible, do you think?

No they did not say that in the bible, but there is a lot op parody in the writtings of J.R Tolkien in relation to strong biblical themes.

He was a Christian, and also best mates with the famous C.S Lewis who encouraged him to continue with the writting of "The Lord of the Rings"

They have both produced some of the best material of the 20th century, and a re a blessing form God

I encourage you to read some of C.S Lewis's books if you like J.R Tolkien.

Mere Christianity is an awesome book for the contemplative individual and Screw tape letters is also a facinatin VERY popular read.

I'm sure Peter would have willingly offered Jesus his fishing boat, which he actually did. Paul would have willingly offered Jesus the benefits of his Roman citizenship, but Paul didn't become a Christian until after Jesus had ascended.

Frodo had better friends. Samwise never claimed not to know Frodo, even when things were at their worst.

Thaddeus might have referred to Jesus once as "my Precious," though I think that was in one of the apocryphal books.

Paul wasn't a disciple.

And figuratively, the others did say - you can use what I bring.

Oddly though, one of the 8 betrays Frodo for his own gain - and dies for it upon realizing what he has done.
