It depends which book it is. I use the "Cat in the Hat", by Dr. Seuss. Works fine, and I am really good and making rhymes out of everything now.

It is unwise to use only one book in any area. None are comprehensive enough for that. I read all sides to any question before I form a firm opinion, e.g. I read a book that claims several members of a satanic cult group did the "Son of Sam" killings and then one that presents the accepted view that David Berkowitz did all killings alone. I found few other books on this subject, but I find many on the Evolution versus Creationism controversy, and I've read several with different theories about Jack the Ripper and the killer of the Black Dahlia. I studied many religions with my near major in Philosophy in college (Art is my major). I am in a good position to compare Bible, Koran or Quran, Bhagivadgita, Tao Te Ching, etc., etc., and I say that anyone who reads only one such book needs to read them all for the total picture.

Of course not .Books are tools that help people decide a path to take what you get from them are your perceptions.Books aren't there to change your mind or your beliefs they are an option that either helps you decide something but it doesn't mean that it will change...what u get from the book is all you.Your decision as too what you percieve from the book is all yours

If that book you are referring to is the Bible, which probably where you are heading wiht this question then NO. You see the Bible is the blue print to salvation. The architect draws the blue print which without it a building cannot be erected.
If the book is any other form of literature, L. Ron Hubbards or The Book of Mormon, or Watchtower, then yes, because these are no the Bible, the one and only book inspired by God himself.
God bless you always, thanks for the opportunity to spread the Gospel of faith.

Yes, especially a book, written by humans, that very ignorant humans believe that the book contains the words of God !
The BIGGEST sin of humanity is to belong and believe in religion !

Here's the Solution to eliminating sin:

Create a private, personal, direct, divine Relationship with Our Creator and save your Soul from religion.

Only with Our Creator's Love and Peace will we be Truly Free!

Love and Believe in Our Creator;
Love and Believe in Yourself.

Without God, there is No Love; Without religion, there are No Wars!

"religion is Spiritual fraud"; "religion is the Worse invention of humanity" - Jesus Christ, Buddha and any one else with Spiritual intelligence.

Is it a crime to obey a memo from your boss?

If you ask someone advise and they send it in an email would you be immoral to follow the written word?

Is it unethical to live according to the US legal code? (It's a bound set of documents by the way. Most would call it a book)
