I was in the same spot. I use Snapfish.com They have awesome pricing, lower if you prepay. They are fast, and the picture quailty cannot be beat. I am a huge picture take with two little ones, and Snapfish has really hepled me stay in budget with my pictures. Another added bonus is that you can get all of your pictures online, and share the album with your family. This way, even if you cannot afford to make prints for everyone, you can still share the images.
Also, everytime you place an oder, you will want to jump onto Google. You will want to Google " Snapfish Coupon Code" This will always get you a spiffy code that will get you some free prints, free shipping or another goody that will save you.
Also as far as pricing, I have been able to get prints from snapfish for as low as 8 cents in prepay packages. The packages are only $25 and they are a great deal. Another added bonus is that you can edit your pictures from home. That way you are able to get the exact print that you want and you will not have to worry about standing in line at the machine at the store. The fact that you can work on them, then go back to it is a real time saver if you have kids.

Hi. I too had the same problem until I discovered PEPhoto. They are the cheapest on the internet. You just go to www.pephoto.com and download their software for transferring files. I have used them many times and the prints are great quality and the price is 8 cents each. Their enlargement sizes are cheap too. I have used a few others(snapfish, shutterfly, clark photo) and I like them all. I always have to consider price when printing 100+ photos. The only drawback is shipping when having pictures printed via the internet but it is still cheaper than Walmart.

From what I have been able to see from what others have said, the cheapest place is Wal-Mart. Now, if you want them shipped to the store for pick up (and you would have to be patient for that to be an option) then you can get them for like 12 cents a picture, which is the best. If you want one-hour photo, you would have to pay for that. However, if you wanted them shipped to your home, you could do that as well and it is relatively inexpensive for that. I have done it and think that it works the best of any other set-up. It takes a little while to upload them all but if you are doing just a little at a time, that's no big deal. I just got married and used WalMart for all of my pictures. I got some 200 plus pictures (plus some in larger than 4x6) and it cost me a total of like $40.00. Great deal. Good luck and hope you find what you are looking for.

RE:
Whom should I print my photos from?
I have a digital camera, so of course all my photos are on the computer. Well, I have about 2 or more years worth of photos I'd like to have printed & put into photo albums. I've printed photos out at home with my own printer but even with the right paper I don't like the quality as...

I'm very into scrapbooking and I print about 50 pictures a month. I've been working with snapfish.com and I'm very happy with the quality and turnaround time. The pictures cost 10 cents a picture if you prepay for 1000, which ends up being $100. Shipping costs a little more, but the more you buy, the less (per picture) the shipping cost. The most I've paid on shipping was about 5 cents per picture--bringing the cost up to 15 cents a picture. They have great options of adding borders, matte or glossy, and various shipping dates and prices. For the cheapest price, I've found it takes about 3-5 days to come to my house. What's nice also is that you can share your albums with family and friends and they can order pictures as well and you get 20 free prints when you sign up with them. You can also upload at home and choose to pick it up at Walgreens (19 cents a picture) if you need the pictures right away--within an hour. What I also like about snapfish is that they correct the size of the digital pictures. Most digital pictures are not 4x6, rather they are about 3.5x5.5, causing pictures to get cut off if they are printed at the 4x6 size, so snapfish prints them at the true digital print size. Their pictures come out great and I am very happy using them.
Hope this helps--check it out yourself!

I have had good luck with many places, but have learned a few that are my favorites. If you need pictures fast, I really like Walgreen's. You can upload the photos and send the pictures to the one closest to you and have them developed within a few hours. Also, you can send pictures to any Walgreen's in the US, so if you want to send them to someone out of state, you can do that! Online, my favorite developer is Shutterfly. The price is usually 19cents per print. Though this isn't the cheapest out there, I have found that their pictures are the best quality and come quickly and without issue. They also have a good downloadable tool for editing your photos without having to be online, which makes it even easier. Good luck!

Go to snapfish.com. You can upload albums, as many as you want, to the site for free and have them either print pictures for you or put them on a DVD. You have access to editing on the site. I pay in advance and it costs about 25 to 29 cents a photo and the delivery time is pretty good. It used to be an independent site but is now owned by Hewlett Packard. Their on line help is good and you can call or email them if need be. They are responsive.
Also, you can share your albums or sets of photos with others. I've been using them for years and never had a problem.

This is the best photography course online:
http://photography-course.info
You can be like the masses of humanity and buy a camera you can afford that has auto this and that for worry free picture taking. And learn through trial and error how to use something like aperture or shutter priority auto modes or even attempt to use the thing on full manual mode.
You seem to know already there is some thinking to using a camera and to take pictures. A good place to start is by reading the owners manual that comes with a camera. Read the information and look at the illustrations with part names and look at the real camera. Handle the camera and take pictures. Let me rephrase that. Take pictures to learn how to use the camera and maybe even to keep some. Don't start with important stuff you cannot photograph over again such as birthdays, a toddlers first steps. That puts picture taking out of the learning phase and puts the pressure and emphasis to taking pictures for real and to keep.
These first pictures are for you to learn how to use your camera. And you have learned how to use your camera when you can take pictures with it and can teach others how to use it. Honest. You can also go to a college in your area and take a beginning photography course. There you will be taught the basics even a pro must learn and do in their work. Camera handling and use, taking exposures with film and/or digital cameras, and maybe even some photo assignments to get some real time learning. In this learning do not take serious pictures you must keep as that detracts from the learning aspect of the class. Do so only if you have mastered the use of your camera before class is over.
It's like growing up in a way. And I am happy you know there is a way to learn how to use a camera and take pictures. It's like learning how to drive I suppose. Someone can teach you or you can get taught at a driving school. Both will get you a drivers liscense. One though will really teach you the fundamentals you can use for the rest of your driving career.

I have had, as far as on line developers go, great luck with Photomax. They are in Utah, and can develop and put onto DVD almost any kind of pictures you can take. They will also supply you with a free website, free forever without having to buy anything, for you to display your pictures, and let others view them also. Their prices are reasonable, but they are experts in digital photography, and they also do not charge you for pictures that did not show up on the camera, or that obviously would not turn out good under any circumstances. It is, at least worth looking into, and you might like what you get back
