I think heaven is a state of consciousness, not an actual place to go when we die, so in your example, a person in sin would be in hell, and when they reformed themselves, yes they could be in the mental spiritual state called heaven.

When we are born we each have a stone tablet that all of our sins are carved on and nothing we do can remove those sins from the stone tablet. However, God has a huge warehouse full of white-boards. When He sacrificed his son He sent out claim tickets for all those boards. Everyone on earth gets a claim ticket for a white board and we cash it in by repenting and being baptised into Jesus Christ. Now, as part of the claim process for the white boards God takes your stone tablet, smashes it to pieces and uses the sand to make beaches or glass or something.
So now you have this nice, pretty, erasable board to write all your sins on. But you don't get an eraser. After all, Jesus is the one that paid for the eraser so it's only right that he gets to use it. Fortunately for us, He bought it because He wants to use it, and all we have to do is ask. But if you don't ask, then you will die with a full slate. The problem is that only people with clean slates are allowed to enter Heaven and be in the presence of God.
So to answer your question; once you get your white board, you always have your white board. But if you don't erase it regularly, you may as well still have a stone tablet.

The bible says and Jesus taught that God will forgive you if you simply ask for forgiveness and mean it. If you can't ask for forgiveness, you can ask God for help with this, and he will. Although I don't know your heart at this moment, God does, and it sounds as though you've already asked in your own way. You also should forgive yourself and move on to being the better person you were designed to be. You have a purpose in life, and maybe your past was meant to learn from. You will go to heaven not based on how much "better" you DO. God loves you. He wants you to go to heaven. It's not a matter of him letting you in. It's a matter of you really wanting to go. You can do this simply by allowing God in your life, asking for forgiveness, and trying your best to live your life for him. You can develop a personal relationship with God, and this is what he wants.

It is not good works that saves you, Titus 3:5. It is by believing("believing", being interpreted is- trusting in, clinging to and adhering to JESUS and his teachings; it is not merely acknowledging that GOD exists; this is nothing more than lip service) in JESUS CHRIST, John 3:15-19. You see good works is not a cure for the disease, sin. What I mean is we all have a nature that is inclined to sin. This inclination to sin is what GOD is trying to combat. The only way this is possible is when GOD renews our spirit when we except JESUS as LORD AND SAVIOR of our life. Other than this, there is no other way to heaven... JESUS said in Jn 14:6, I am the way the truth and the life...no one comes to the FATHER but thru me. So you see if you want to go to heaven when you die, you must receive JESUS into your heart, Rom 10:9-10.
It doesn't matter how good someone thinks that they have been... one must be born again to become a citizen of heaven Jn 1:12. ~GOD BLESS YOU AND LEAD YOU INTO ALL TRUTH AND INTO HIS PERFECT LOVE BY JESUS CHRIST THE RIGHTEOUS, AMEN~)

Sure, everyone has sinned. The difference between heaven bound people and sinners is the choice to repent. If you have wronged - let's say stole or dishonored parents in youth - and then you grow up, realize what God has given you, and vow to Him that you will never sin intentionally again, and you are truly sorry, you are forgiven. I don't think He wants us to live feeling guilty, but self-realization is a wonderful thing.

everyone sins...but you can only get into heaven if you accept Jesus Christ as the Son of God and that He dies on the cross in order to forgive our sins...otherwise you will most likely not go to heaven. However God will always make exceptions...kids who are before the age of accountability, people who have never heard the word of Jesus will be judges on the laws inside thier heart, etc

Everyone sins - God knows that. If you repent and are truly sorry, God will forgive you no matter what the sin was. There is only one unforgivable sin. Look it up - it's easy to find. God loves you and sent His son as the ultimate sacrifice. You don't EARN your way to Heaven - you just need to accept Christ as your Savior.

1 sin will keep you out of heaven. 1 lie, 1 theft, 1 bad thought toward someone ect..
That's why we need a Savior.
Jesus never sinned. Because He was God, but in a human body. This is how he can be our advicate, because He died for you and me, to pay the price for our sin so we could go to heaven.
In the book of James it tells us that if we break 1 point in the law (10 commandments) we break them all and are guilty.
James 2:10
"For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it."
Here in 1st John it tells us if we're born of God we'll practice righteousness and not practice sin.
When we do sin, we confess our sin to God and He forgives us (1John 1:9)
1John 2:29; 3:4-9
If you know that He is righteous, you know that everyone who practices righteousness is born of Him...
Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness.
And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin.
Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him.
Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous.
He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.
Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.
So you need to be born of God to be able to suceed in practicing righteousness otherwise you'll continue to practice sin.
Cry out to Jesus. He'll save you and help you in your walk through this life.

The only way to get to heaven is to believe that Jesus Christ is your savior, that he died and was resurrected for us. If you murdered 100 people, and confess Jesus as your savior you will go to heaven. If you were a great person all your life, but never asked Jesus into your life, you will not be saved. GOD BLESS and acknowledge Jesus. He will acknowledge you.

sin is sin to God, but do you not understand that the blood of Jesus, covers you...this does not mean just go out there and do your thing and just ask for forgiveness, but you have to get it in your mind that you want to change. Repent means to turn away form your sin and turn towards God.
