We were living in different states when we met. We months after we started dating we were engaged. As soon as I could get transferred with my company I moved and we got married shortly after that. Now we have been married for 11 months and we are 13 weeks pregnant.

Neither of us have been married before (I am 35, he is 44). So it wasn't young dumb love.

I knew he was the one 2 weeks into it. We went camping for the weekend. He was driving my car, and on the way home the engine blew up (still under warranty!!) As we stood there on the side of the road in the middle of "no where" West Virginia waiting for the tow truck, we were both very calm and didn't freak out. I looked at him and thought "I will marry him someday"!!

Close to a month - six weeks.
I was on the rebound from being widowed, or I'd have known better.
We were married in another six weeks.
Six months later, I realized he was extremely emotionally disturbed from an abusive childhood.
I was also pregnant.
I made him move out before our son was a year old.
It was a nightmare.
People can put up a really good front to hide their true nature during the courtship period. That's why it's better to wait at least a year! You really DO need to get to know someone first.

I really wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

The first 6 months of a relationship your hormones are in overdrive and you can easily mistake love for lust.

These feelings settle down after 6 months or so, I wouldn't ever make a permanent lifestyle choice with someone until you have been together a substantial amount of time.

Could you imagine rushing into buying a place with someone, only to discover 6 months down the line, you don't actually fancy them as much as you thought?

Yes. We did and got married 3 months after that. We are still married and it has been 20 years +. When the right one comes along...you will know it. Word of caution...keep the communication between you open and active and remember it is a give and take relationship. If you want it to work, you both have to work at it and it is wonderful to see how the two actually become one. Good luck.

Yes. I met him on a blind date. It was truly love at first sight and we have been together every day since. We lived together after about 3 weeks and bought a house together 2 months later. We have been happily married with 2 kids for 11 years now and I don't see it ever ending. Hope things work out for you.

one of my best friends did that and it turned out horrible. The guy was cheating the whole time and it was too much drama. You dont know absolutley anything about a person within a months time. And you have to ask yourself "when me and this guy get into a fight, where will each person go to get away from it all?" and the answer? you cant go anywhere to get away from and give eachother space because you would be living together.

I did that when I was 19, It was a big mistake. I found out that the guy was cheating on me with two other women. I thought I was totally in love and I would have never expected it.
