If you do not have much excess body fat, you will just need to focus on weight lifting and exercises such as crunches and push-ups.
If you have some excess body fat to lose as well, you will also need to do a lot of cardio (don't skip the other exercises though!). Running is the best cardio you can do.

Strength training will help tone up your body especially if you're targeting a specific area.
Do 30 min. of strength training every other day and cardio the other days...you'll see a difference in about 2 weeks. You'll look more toned. Try to cut out fatty foods those 2 weeks also, you don't want your efforts to be working against you.

Run 5 miles a day for each of the next 10 days. Then collapse and go to a movie. Skip the popcorn.

well it all depends how out of shape you are.
eat nothing but protein and veggies, don't drink soda only water. and walk or run 2 miles everyday. also do 100+ crunches everyday. 100+ squats, lunges, and bicep curls. Stay away from the junk. If you are sitting down watching tv do jumping jacks. good luck.

drink loooooooads of water, make sure you have bran flakes for breakfast, soup for lunch (no bread) and a big salad for dinner. dont eat after 7 and go for a half hour jog everyday and do sit ups whenever you have a spare ten minutes. if you get hungry in between meals, eat pinapple, grapfruit or celery!
