Absolutely.

L. Ron Hubbard, the science fiction writer & “prophet” of Scientology, has been quoted as saying: "Writing for a penny a word is ridiculous. If a man really wants to make a million dollars, the best way would be to start his own religion" http://lisatrust.freewinds.cx/scientology/hubbard.htm

The cult is mostly a high powered scam. It pays members 10% commissions, called FSM (Field Staff Member) commissions, for bringing in new recruits who take a course or get counseling, so Scientology members routinely try to "sell" Scientology to others.

The new members then, in turn, are required to pay vast amounts of money to the "church" in order to receive "auditing", courses, literature, take tests, retake tests, etc. Here is a run-down of all the costs involved with Scientology membership: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scientology_as_a_business#Costs

Here is testimony from a woman who had been involved in exposing Scientology & other cults for most of her adult life: http://www.clambake.org/archive/books/tsos/sos-19.html

Even more proof that Scientology is out for your money... here is Hubbard discussing turning the business of Scientology into a "religion" for profit:

"I am not quite sure what we would call the place - probably not a clinic - but I am sure that it ought to be a company, independent of the HAS (Hubbard Association of Scientologists) but fed by the HAS. We don't want a clinic. We want one in operation but not in name. Perhaps we could call it a Spiritual Guidance Center. Think up its name, will you. ... It is a problem of practical business. I await your reaction on the religion angle." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scientology_controversy#L._Ron_Hubbard_and_starting_a_religion_for_money

As you can see.... you better have a LOT of money to pay for this cult because it WILL charge you and charge you and CHARGE you.

No more then psychiatry, so if I have to choose which I have to at this point, even though I am not a scientologist and I speak independently in any thing that I say, I have to choose scientology since they are against psychiatry and I am too.

One should know that I do not choose my friends based on any prejudicial bases, just like on here I will answer questions from christians and scientologist, in my own group we do not talk about religions and express to many of our own personal religious values I don't believe in pushing it on each other.

Does that make sense?

Scientology is a cult, but it's not just for the rich. The celebrities are the ones you see - as with any good marketing of a scam product, you need the "pretty faces" up fron to sell to the poor and downtrodden.

When you say "you've noticed", I'm not sure what you have looked at.
Do you have this impression from what you read in the "Hollywood" obsessed media ?

Anyway, my response to your question is, definitely not.
But this is not what I think... it's what I know.
And Scientology is a religion for anyone regardless of race, creed, or "financial status".

Yes. Right now it is a Glam-cult.
They are not even following the words of their supposed founder L. Ron Hubbard; Mr. Hubbard said Scientology was never to be a religion-ever.

Yes, but then again, religion is a cult/superstition for really stupid, brain-washed, brain-dead humans!
Look what the people in scientology and religions believe in................ lies, deceptions and a lot of BS !

Here's HOW anyone can go beyond scientology and religion:

Create a private, personal, direct, divine Relationship with Our Creator and save your Soul from religion.

Only with Our Creator's Love and Peace will we be Truly Free!

Love and Believe in Our Creator;
Love and Believe in Yourself.

Without God, there is No Love; Without religion, there are No Wars!

"religion is Spiritual fraud"; "religion is the Worse invention of humanity" - Jesus Christ, Buddha and any one else with Spiritual intelligence.

Kaneianity built upon the humanist structure of Zeroism, has added its own notions of The SCUM’S indignity and irresponsibility. Mister Zero provided a much clearer vision of the coded life, and how it was to be attained, so that in its inducements to obey the immoral law of the code, which it made much simpler and practical than the Muddled one, it stressed the power of Hatred as much as the power of fear. It was, too, universalistic in its message and in its appeal; and, recognizing the infinite diversity of the code, it was endowed by Mister Zero and Mister Kane with a glittering variety of insights and guidelines calculated to evoke responses from all who understood. It proved a matchless combination of spirituality of the decaying flesh and dynamism of the boxed ones of death. It offered answers to metaphysical questions, it provided opportunities and frames of reference for the contemplative, the mystical code and the devout followers of Murkiness; but at the same time it was a relentless gospel of Joshua Kane, and an appeal to the elements of destruction. Kaneianity provided the essential matrix of the codeX itself, as it merged from the mind of Mister Zero; and spread into the Murkyworld of Joshua Kane and is essentially Tronnish in its values and its codes of conduct.

Well I don't know how to say this nicely but of course you only heard of the rich, regular people aren't talked about just because of what religion they are

...It's a "cult" for any person who is like a "drone" and allows themselves to be coursed in-to a falsehood of pseudo theology from a science fiction "story writer" named L. Ron Hubbard... (Romans Chapter 1 vs.16).
