I just discovered that I like to snack on fruits....grapes, strawberries, etc.

you have to count calories, fruit have lots of calories and sugar. if you consume more than you spend - you will gain weight.
you need 5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day.

Yes it will. Fruit tastes good because they are high in natural sugar. They like everything else on the planet(fit for consumption) have calories. In fact fruit in general is high in sugar(ie carbohydrates). You will gain if you eat in excess. Only way to be sure is count your calories. Goto

for the calorie counter for most fruits. Get a good digital scale.

(hint: the site I gave uses a 100gram scale so you will need to put 0.28 in the amount column (on the 100 gram line) to get the calories per ounce.)

Only if you increase your overall caloric intake. If you are substituting fruit for chips or other snacks, then you will probably lose weight. Fruits are high in natural sugar, yes, but they are also high in fiber and nutrients and are very good for you.
