NO! Dude, why are you so obsessed with mourning doves? (I mean, come on...three questions in a row within an hour of each other)??? Get yourself a nice rock dove, caged bird, a call it a day!

Also, Mourning doves carry many of the same diseases as rock doves (pigeons). They are carriers of aspirgilosis, which can be deadly to humans, along with many other avian diseases. Leave the mourning doves in the wild, and set up a bird feeder in your yard. Believe me, they will come and you will have more than enough to keep you company.

if you live in the US, mourning doves are illegal to own or have in your possession unless you are a licensed rehabilitator, then they have to be released back to the wild when old enough/ or well enough or sent to an appropriate facility to care for them. you don't sound like you are an approved facility. you might be able to volunteer at one locally. contact your vet's office for more info.
