I am a doctor!
Not a medical doctor, though, I am a PhD (doctor in Science) and a Biochemist/immunologist with a PhD in Oncology, to be precise!
"Doctor" is a vague term - you could be Doctor in Law!

I am a pre-med student who should be going to medical school in fall of 2009!!!
I am planning on doing Pediatrics.
Under that I will specialize in either Emergency Medicine or Oncology (cancer)
I LOVE medicine. I volunteer at the children's hospital each week and I was only 3 when i asked my mother to pull over our vehicle so I could perform CPR!

i want to be an internist i.e. a diagnosis specialist. i believe it is the field that provides the maximum mental exercise. to actually diagnose a case based on some given symptoms requires resourcefulness, acute mental coordination and immense common sense. it is only after a diagnosis can the patients be medicated or it be determined wether a surgery and what kind of a surgery is required. ther can never be a lull moment in life as each case is unique and need to be differentially diagnosed.

i really want to be a ER doctor, im planning on attending a college in Michigan and then a medical school in either New York, California or Michigan.

Yes and in Interventional Radiology and Emergency Medicine... though I think it's vitally important to absorb as much as one could during their residency first to be able to decide....

I wanted to be a MD when I started college but became PhD instead (Chemistry).
If I had it to do over again, I would have gone for the MD.
