Pesto, it is a unique name for a bird. What ever you chose use the name quite often and especially in the morning when removing the cover from your birds cage. Read all you can about budgies/parakeets and do all you can for your bird. They can be quite fun when you get them involved in your life.
do not just leave the bird in the cage to live. Get him/her out, buy a play set for them. Get a cuttle bone, vitamin block and a large feeder for them. Provide your bird with a mirror and other items and lots of bird treats. Get healthy bird food, it will bring out all the colors in your bird very vividly. My Parakeets name is Lucky, she was named by my daughter. Luck is highly active and loves siting on my shoulder and playing with my earrings. she is an inquisitive bird and I let her explore her surroundings all the time.

I named my parakeet Eddie. I was watching Shrek 2 right before i went to get a parakeet and i though of Eddie Murphy (the voice of Donkey) and i named it Eddie

Think of a name you like alot (something you like to say alot) or think of the parakeet's personality and the name would come to you.

I like the name Dante! but depending on if the bird is chirpping alot you can determine their personality!

Whats the personalty? Um names... Is it a boy or girl? man you should really include this stuff in you questions :)
What about drake, molly, jack, alfred (thats a good one...), um... Arn't those birds loud?
