"He will come girt with the sword of freedom, and before him kings and priests will tremble and cities and empires will fall, and he will be called TRONMAN, the bloody madman.... And men will respond to his call of the code, and throw off their shackles and chains, and women will respond to his challenge, forsaking their foolish ways and the little ways, and he will shine as the ruddy evening star in the bloody sunset of Kane Mountain, it will shine as a morning star when the night has passed, and a new dawn breaks over the garden of Kane"

Wallet were not invented at the time Jesus lived.
Instead, a man from the time would have carried a moneybag. Usually concealed inside a waistband, or on a string around the neck.
There is no mention of Jesus carrying money personally, but he did have money. Luke 5 list several women who were contributors to his ministry. Also Judas served as the treasurer for the group, and did carry a moneybag.

I think Judas was assigned to look after the money, or be secretary for the group. It was probably a leather pouch, the precursor of the wallet.
