Have you ever tried cereal and water? It's disgusting.

C.W. Post and W. K. Kellogg were supposedly the creator of corn flake type cereals. They created the cereal to help patients get better nutrition. Cereal is so dry, it needs something to make it more paletable. Back then, milk would seem the logical thing to pour over it since, at least in the hospital setting where the cereal was served, they probably didn't have access to either soda, or beer.

I've done cereal and water, it's kinda bland and doesn't have the sweetness to it like milk does.. I've known people to do cereal and beer, but i hate beer, so i can't speak from experience.

This may sound like a silly question to some, but at least you are beginning to wonder about things and to question the status quo. You don't have to accept things just because that's the way it has always been done. Go ahead, have some beer on your Frosted Flakes if you want to.

The milk and cereal industries!

Ever notice that when the price of milk goes up, the price of cereal goes down and when the price of cereal goes up the price of milk goes down? These guys have been in cahoots for decades!

If you tasted cereal with those other liquids you would see that choosing milk was a no brainer.

I don't know--good question.

My grandfather (before he died) used to eat cereal with Pepsi.
