It's really just a subversive plan of travel agents to get you to go to Michigan:

But, seriously:
Telling a non-Christian that they are going to "Hell" is like calling offsides on the *spectators* at a football game.

You know i thought this was funny because it's true. I mean if someone is an athiest, i would assume most likely they don't believe hell exists and personally I think there is no hell. It makes absolutely no sense to me, that if god cares for people that there would be a burning fiery hell. That is falsehood taught by churches. The real truth, like it says at romans 6:23 in the bible, is that the wages sin pays is death, and not some eternity of torment and hell.
That word used in some bibles is a mistranslation from the original texts. Really some research here is helpful and check out what it really says.
But more so, like you said, if they don't believe in hell then, really why would it bother them for someone to say that to them. It has never bothered me, but not only because I know it not to be true but I would rather more people know the real answer, instead of lies.

I think that most people cannot get out of their own worldly perspective. I think that many believers don't conceptualize the atheist's perspective. I think that many believers really believe in their hearts that the atheist knows the truth but denies it. I don't think that they can truly conceptualize or appreciate the perspective that the atheist comes from. I also think that many atheists can't accept that believers truly have a faith in God and that believers firmly and faithfully believe that God actually exists.
The world would be better if both sides accepted the others for who they are without having to impose their own philosophies on each other.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who thinks this. I have found this also with the Athiest thing and I think it is funny to be honest. It just shows how blinded by religion people can be and they just stop thinking for themselves.
I love Harry Potter books and movies but I am not stupid enough to believe that if I go to Scotland I'm going to find Hogwarts as much as I would for that to be true!! LOL

i really consider maximum of what you say. only a note even with the reality that, Catholicism preaches you opt for to do the right ingredient in accordance on your experience of suitable and incorrect, as well because the consequences. So i imagine the church ought to easily accept that credit first. yet except that, I have usually puzzled an same issues. Watch the movie "Heaven and Earth" that's surely acceptable. This movie has acceptable cost cinematography and mentions the idea of karma (extra specially how undesirable issues take position to solid human beings, and what we can do if this happens to us...study or resent?) i really ask your self an same issues as you in many cases, and that i too am a Catholic raised, yet open minded individual. xx

All things are relative to you and atheism is a religion of the self making yourself a god..you believe in science and technology and the power of it's remarkable capabilities for change and nothing is concrete. There is no room for the "grey areas" of religion. For every action there is an equal and opposite Reaction! That is the concept isn't it in science?

I really have nothing against religious people, but I don't preach my views to them and yes I get very upset when they force theirs upon me. I do have friends who are a bit over the edge for me on religion and it just dumb founds me when I here them say Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Star Trek and Star Wars and blaspheme. OK what ever!

Just cause a book says it doesn't make it so now does it?
You just opened up a whole can of worms with that last question.
That is the same argument about dictionaries, encyclopedias and any other reference materials that one relies on for information.
See above for your stated question ...

I don't understand it either. I don't believe in hell, but I'm told almost daily that I'm going to end up there......and I thought only god was allowed to judge, so what gives a person the right to tell me where I'm going to spend my eternal life?

“ Men of code must go down Kane Mountain, into the unknown self ...into the labyrinths of the dark land. There, men will meet the godman and hear his final question, which is not a riddle but the most wonderful and terrible of all questions: 'what is Tron?”
