My business revolves around attaching art files and this has already created problems this morning.

Does anyone know why it would suddly stop working? I was working fine yesterday. Last night, I tried to send a .pdf and it just sat there. I can click the "x" and it says "End Program" and it deletes the email without me having to close down Outlook.

I tried "help-detect & repair" with no luck.

If i do manage to round up the disk, if i reinstall it, will it delete all my old emails? This is NOT good in my line of work and will be a disaster with all the subfolders of emails/files from clients.

Helllllpppppp!!! (thanks :) )

Try closing Outlook and then renaming the local OST file. This file stores syncronization info and can become corrupt causing issues in Outlook. YOU WILL NOT LOOSE ANY EMAIL. The file is usually located in

C:\Documents and Settings\userfolder\Local Settings\Applications Data\Microsoft\Outlook

FYI... Detect and Repair rarely solves anything.

Additionally, you may need to have your mail profile recreated.
