I am very keen in learning 3D in detail but dont have the source to learn it properly. Is there any 3D artist, who can guide? Thanks!

My 3D modeling was limited to some time with POV-Ray http://www.povray.org which is a good open source modeler.
For Maya, a very sophisticated commerical package, I think I would start with the following,
