I want to get my child a bike for easter. she already has a bike which is getting too small. I have no idea what size her bike is. I got kind of confused when I went to buy one. 16", 20"? I don't know. The bike she already has may be 16" or it may not, I don't know how to tell what size it is. Can some help me out? Please... How do I figure out the size of the bike she already has so I'm sure to get one that suits her properly?

The size of the bike will be on the tires. If it is a 16" bike it will say 16x whatever the width of the tire is. As a rule you should have your daughter set on the bike and her toes on both feet should be able to touch the ground. Also a good way to tell is if she straddles the bike there needs to be a 2 inch space between the bar and her body, but that can be a little deceptive when measuring a girls bike since the bar usually slants. I would say that if your daughter is between the ages of 6-10 she would be able to have a 20" bike.

best (and simplest) thing to do is take her to your local bike shop and try out the different sizes
there is no easy formula, so just go to a bike shop
stay away from Walmart, Target, Kmart, etc. because you will find a cheap bike but will end up spending a lot more when it breaks or you need a tune up

Try this page, see if it gives you a better idea. Hope it helps! I remember buying my daughter her first few, I ended up having to just take her with me. If it comes to that, maybe just design her a beautiful certificate that says "Good For One New Bike". That way you can put it in her basket too.

She should be able to sit on the seat and touch the ground with both of her feet. Obviously she can do that with the one she has now so make sure the next one is bigger but the same rule applies.
