Yes, it is the end times but view it as possibilities for something better!

2 peter 3:1-4
1But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come.

2For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy,

3unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good,

4treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,

but be aware there is hope for something better.

There has been and will always be a fierce struggle of good versus evil until the end of times. Sometimes it can get so overwhelming to see what's happening now, but if you look throughout history, it has always been one thing after another where people were thinking that this is it. We will never know when the end is coming, that is for God to know. If we knew it was coming soon, how would you behave? You wouldn't be living the life that God had provided for you.
All I can say is, just live everyday like it might be your last and do all you can, to show others how a Christian should be, through your actions.
God Bless in your search for the Truth!

If you look back through history, and put yourself in the shoes of someone during the last century, or the one before that, or the one before that, all the way back, at each stage you could have said that the fight between good and evil was becoming fierce, and that strange things were happening around us, and that all the signs are present for impending doom.... it's just a symptom of our view of the world as a transient thing, we always seem to think things are getting worse ...; what does that say about human nature??

No. For centuries the people of the time thought the end was near.

We have only to decide what to do with the time given us, and not worry so much about the end.

When it comes, it comes. We cannot know when that is.

Edit : You cite the battle between good and evil. None is good. The battles we see in war are between opposing sides of evil.

I know it's a concern of many, but I don't think the end times should be foremost in our minds. Jesus will come back at a time of His own choosing and we should be as ready today as we will be 100 years from now.

There is definitely a fierce spiritual battle raging now, but this has happened at different times in history, too.

God bless.

Yes, we are nearing the time of Tribulation. Whenever I speak with my kids about this, I point out that, when I was a kid, you NEVER heard about the awful stuff you hear today. It seems to me that inter-familial violence has greatly increased, as have all other crimes. But it's the breakdown of the family, though divorce and crime, that worries me terribly. The devil knows the family unit is God's illustration to us of how we should relate to Him -- so Satan wants to destroy it.

Case in point: can you remember more than 2 people in the OT who were possessed by demons? Yet, the NT is replete with them. Why? Because first Satan wanted to destroy Jesus in His childhood; when he couldn't do that, Satan wanted to keep as many as he could away from the Gospel. Today's situation is exactly the same. Whenever we read of a woman who worships Tupac Shakur and beheads her toddler as a sacrifice to him, we should be aware that it's the devil working among us (this is an actual case here in America).

The end of WWII and subsequent rebirth of Israel in 1948 is described by Jesus in the Olivet Discouse as the first "birth pang" heralding the end times. Now is the time for strength, Christian brothers and sisters. Evangelize fearlessly; guard yourself against evil thoughts and deeds; and pray without ceasing. The devil knows he has a short time and he'd love to take as many of us down to Hell with him as he can.

Everything that has a beginning has an ending. From the initial beginning in God to the ultimate ending, in or apart from God, the cycle is repeated through descending energy levels.

We are in the last cycle, one of denial; having rejected God's gift, spurned His mercy, contaminated the earth and have been turned to worship the god of this world.

The end time harvest is underway but it will first appear glorious.

I think Acid Zebra largely summed it up.

Although I will add that it's interesting how for the last 2000 years there's been christians claiming the end is nigh!

It's not.

Even if most of the human race were wiped out by plague, nuclear war or an environmental disaster, there would still be survivors who would rebuild and the human race would continue.

The planet would have to be completely destroyed for us to be wiped out and we now have the technology to give us enough warning to deal with incoming asteroids, comets etc.

yes we are running out of time. The fight between good(love/father) and Evil (dominion/controling others/judging) is internal in all of us. We are here on this earth to make a choice, Choose love/sharing fellowship and you choose the love path back to father, choose dominion and go to the other place. Time is running out, at the end only those who have clearly choosen love will escape.

According to the signs we are in the last times. Satanic activity is on the rise and the Church is falling away from Christ. Christless Christianity is becoming very popular in the churches, a form of Christianity where the cross and the blood of Jesus is being removed. The gospel of prosperity is being preached all over. Pastors are increasingly obsessed with money. Laws are being enacted against preaching the gospel in public and the name of Jesus is becoming increasingly offensive to people. The rapture could occur at anytime. Jesus loves you.
