And how would you handle the total collapse of military morale this would cause?
And how long will it take for the military to ever trust you again?

Can it work? SHOULDN'T you be asking WILL it work?
I can answer that in ONE word. NO!!
As you have probably heard on the news, the FBI uncovered and took down a sleeper cell here in the US. IF we pull out of the Middle East, the terrorists won't come after us from over there. oh no! They'll activate all the sleeper cells that they already have in the United States as we speak. Who knows how many there are.
I don't think you want another 9-11. I know I certainly don't. I say let the troops finish their job over there, and when it's done, THEN pull them out.
IF anyone who is reading this is currently Active Duty Military and deployed or back home in the United States...I just want you to know that I'm behind you 100%! HOOAH!!

You can't be serious!!!
I like how you single out just the President. You are under a "spell" by Liberals and Democrats. You can't seriously think that your "plan" will work can you??!!??
When they elect a new President into office, this war will still be going on. In fact...it will more than likely continue on during the next Presidents term. Politicians will tell you what you want to hear....The next President doesn't have a magic wand...this war will still go on.
Also you are seriously delusional if you think the reason we are in Iraq is for oil and securities. But go ahead and continue to play "armchair warrior"....it seems to suit you.

So, you're advocating disbanding the U.S. Military? Not a good idea bubba. So who will we have to protect us with no military? You're not the sharpest tool in the shed, are you.
As far as BUSH LIED: if I tell you something and you accept it, then tell someone else, but they show you were the info is not correct, are YOU the liar? According to your logic, YOU'RE A LIAR.
"WE DO NOT SUPPORT THE WAR IN IRAQ"....well, that's one. YOU are not everyone. Freedom isn't free. I lost 2 uncles in S. Korea helping keep those people free. It's been over 50 years now since we sent the N. Koreans running with their tails between their legs. My father lost an arm in Germany during WW2 fighting for the freedom of others. We lost hundreds of our men and women then, too. We lost over 50,000 men and women fighting for the freedom of the Vietnamese people. I guess the other person's freedom isn't important to people like you.

No, I don't think it would work! Just cut them off, huh? You know you may not support the war, but you should support our troops. They are over there risking their lives for you and me! Their point of view is not necessarily the same as the Presidents! I know alot of boys that are over there; fresh out of high school and college, trying to do something important in their lives. Just like our fathers and their fathers did! Quit being a selfish jerk and think about the BIG picture. We need to support our guys, one day YOU may need them. Do you actually think if we leave and come home that the war won't follow them right back here? Wake up!

I do think we need to give Iraq a little more time to get their security forces up to speed and a deadline is the only way I can think of to get them off square one. I'm all for giving them one year to get their act together. if democracy is important to them then that should be enough time to get on their feet. If democracy isn't that important then it never will be so we may as well get out of harms way and let them get what they deserve.

Unfortunately the president w/ help from the senate can override Congress. Part of the checks and balance system of gov't. I tell you if the next president focuses on isolation, he or she will become a hero. And I love the Founding Fathers, but even in all their wisdom, they never foresaw an idiot such as Bush taking office.

You bring up a great point but the problem is...the funding was approved for Military warfare long before Bush announced the increase in soldiers in Iraq. It's sad that they can't tae back the money though...

Brother, i'm almost right there with ya. My only consideration would be allowing one more soldier to die in this thing. So for now, they need protection till we can get them home. A pullout will take time no matter what and I'm not going to abandon them. They're our soldiers too.

Don't fund them for the weapons and ammuntion they need to defend themselves. Good thinking. It will never work and the Dems will pay for it at the polls and they know it. Barrack Obama just stated to redeploy them. Not bring them home.........redeploy. Better pay attention to what your dems are saying!
