We hear that women only care about personality not good looks. Is that really true? Do women really not want to date all the hot guys?

No.
Looks are still more important than personality to a woman.
But both of those are far far less important than money.
They want to date the rich guys, if they're hot, that's a plus but not essential. Personality optional.

When I was younger that's all I cared about was how hot the guy was but I only had bad relationships with the hot guys because I was liking them for the wrong reason. Once I started looking at the way he treated me opposed to the way he looked I got better relationships, but being hot is like icing on a cake, but it still taste good without icing.

Well there isin't that much emphasis....on looks as in guys but i mean there is some...
Women are more oriented towards traits then men
on the other hand it's more on apperance so it's a good balance but once again if you over weight and unactractive dont expect to get a hottie
Oh yeah depends on the girls age also...

Sit down in a public place like a restaurant and do a little 'people watching'... Women watching that is. Watch women with other women who wear wedding rings and see who they eye and stare at. (Not all stare, but a good portion of them do.)
They don't look at men unless the men are more attractive.

To be totally honest with you, I would date a guy who everyone else thought was unattractive if he treated me right and made me happy. and i would turn down a guy that was rich and hot if he had an ego the size of a blimp. looks aren't everything. they are nice. all women like to have a man who all the other women wish they had, but when it comes right down to a lifelong relationship, i would much rather be with a man i could tolerate being around over a man i couldn't stand and just liked to look at.

It;s 50/50 for me personailty is the number one most inportant that can make a relationship work. looks can only go so far and can fade so quick. 50 percent of women stay tell want a guy who is all going to stay im tall fine and good looking that's all i need. I want someone who can hold i conversation make me laugh and show that im not just a pretty face.

Well I still have to be attracted to someone's looks initially. But personality is just as important. Who wants to be around a hot guy that is boring? Not me.

its true to a point. a women wants a man who can make her feel good so if he is a total hottie but is a jerk then she would pick the guy that's not so hot but makes her feel like she is wanted needed, loved and really grate about herself.
