recently for an early birthday present, i got some "subtle" highlights at a very well known and professional salon. i have always had brown hair with natural blonde highlights because of the amount of time which i spend in the sun in the summer. when all was said and done, i feel that the highlights in the front near my face are much too blonde for my liking. is there anyway that i can tone down the highlights or do something, that does not involve getting my hair highlighted or dyed, maybe just a way i could wear my hair, or any natural tips anyone has picked up over time??? if you could let me know, it would be great. thank you so much!

there are certain shampoos you can use to tone down your color. wash it often and the highlights should tone down.

With haircolor you can always wash it with dish soap detergent and it will help fade it. I did this when my hair was accidentily turned purple. It worked to get it all out in a couple of washes. Just be careful not to put too much or use it too much if you only want a little tone down. Also you can soak your hair in black tea and it should help darken the color.

Give it a few more days and it will tone down some!! If you are not happy with it then i would go back to the salon and make them fix it!

I agree with previous statement. Go back to salon and tell them how you feel.
If you don't tell them, after all, how would they know? They should at least be able to perhaps cut those parts so they aren't so noticeable or give you tips on different ways to wear it for the time being.

if you go to the salon and tell them to tone it down. i think it`s like a toner that can make it more darker

If you go back and let them know you are displeased, they will most likely fix it for free. They want to keep your business. Go back.
