I was reading in a medical journal that marijuana or cannabis has shown evidence that it protects you from certain malignant brain tumors. I was wondering if they have furthered this evidence so that I can accuse the goverment of withholding a valuble cure.

I just read an article from WebMD and the Cancer Health Center that said that:
The active ingredient in marijuana may help fight brain tumors, a new study suggests.
Researchers say the cannabinoids found in marijuana may aid in brain tumor treatment by targeting the genes needed for the tumors to sprout blood vessels and grow.
Their study showed that cannabinoids inhibited genes needed for the production of vascular growth factor (VEGF) in laboratory mice with glioma brain tumors and two patients with late-stage glioblastoma multiforme, a form of brain cancer.
VEGF is a protein that stimulates blood vessels to grow. Tumors need an abundant blood supply because they generally grow rapidly. So when VEGF is blocked, tumors starve from lack of blood supply and nutrients.

Wow, I guess marijuana might actually be the "tree of life"

in Madrid Spain a small scale test showed hope for reducing and eliminating a certain type of brain tumor but because it involved marijuana no funding could be obtained. I don't have the link but browse www.jackherer.com it's one of the best sites I know of for honest information.

It has many medicinal effects, unlike tobacco, which the government endorses. Their problem with releasing any positive information on possible cures is that they cannot control the market. God forbid announcing a cure without a taxable payoff!
