Just get out your wallet. A h3ad job will cost you about 300 bux, but a decent garage will true the mating faces, doublecut the valve seatings (makes a better seal), and knurl the valve guides. A really good machine shop will hot-dip the parts and return them to you squeaky clean, inside and out.
Be careful when you measure for valve clearance as shaving off too much metal will cause the valves to crash into the pistons....not a good thing.
