Hi all this may sound strange but my cat loves taking baths.
Whenever i get out his cat shampoo he know's what i'm grabbing and knows it means he's about to take a bath.
As soon as i grab the shampoo he hurries over to the sink where he takes his baths and meows me to hurry up and grab a towel.
Then i put him in the sink and he lounges awaiting for the faucet to turn on, never cries the only thing he dislikes is when i wash his face in which i make sure to be careful and not get anything in his eyes.
He loves the water sprayer and when i massage the cat shampoo.
He also dislikes the blow dryer lol.
So is my cat strange or are there other cats that enjoy taking baths.
people who know me thinks it's strange that the only thing he dislikes is the blowdrying and face washing part.
Unless it's because he loves to be clean because he's a persian cat and has lots of furr that can get dirty easily but it seems much more than wanting to be clean it looks like he really enjoys it.

Wow i can't believe how many other cats are like this, i feel blessed with my little furball!
Yes i do think it's the sound of the dryer also.
He also hangs out in the shower after it's been used and naps lol!

my cat loves water he likes playing with the water coming out of the tap and he can even turn the tap on now lol i dont think your cat is strange at all but i know mine dont like the hairdryer i think its the noise

My mom's friend had a cat like that. She would have to lock the door so her cat couldn't jump in the shower with her. Some cats just love the water and there's nothing wrong with that. My boyfriend's kitten jumps into the bath tub when someone gets out of the shower and just stands in there.

i've had friends who own cats who love to take a bath, or even get in the shower with them. my cat will tolorate a bath, but he'd rather not have one. lol. i think most cats don't like the blow dryer because of the high pitched noises they make...sensitive hearing. maybe your kitty was a massage therapist in a former life.

I don't think it's wierd. I've never tried giving my cat a bath, but he LOVES water. He loves licking it drinking it, and playing in it. After someone gets out of the shower, he meowing loudly until they ring their hair on him. Then he purrs! He loves playing in the sink and the bathtub after someone has used it.

I envy you!
I wish my cat enjoyed things like getting baths and getting his teeth brushed. It would make my job a lot easier.
I guess some cats like things that some don't. It is strange, but be happy he's that way.

You are very fortunate! My cats don't like baths but they love playing in the sinks and bathtubs......consider yourself lucky girl because alot of us envy you.........
