Hair colour, I mean. I've been dying my dark hair red for years and it's never done my appearance any harm.

So why do so many people put natural redheads down? Is it just out of spite? Sheer rudeness? Jealousy? Superiority complexes? Idiocy? All of the above? None of the above?

george - I know the South Park skit you mean, and it was great! That's not it though, at all. Poking fun at ginger people has been around a lot longer than South Park has. I've read books originally published in 1900 that have the same sort of remarks we hear today .

Chris Evans annoys me too - but, for me, it's nothing to do with the colour of his hair - it's simply because he can come across as a smug, irritating git.

i think its just blatant nastiness my hubby and my son are ginger, people forget there still people not their hair colour luckily my hubby's heard all the comments and can well equip my son with all the come backs for these nasty little people . its the same old comments for every one though not just gingers, dumb blonde, boring brunette etc these people who think like this have nothing better to do with their sad strange lives its just damn rude .

I love ginger hair! I'm actually a brunette, but i decided that for my picture i would put me as a redhead! I know exactly what you mean, look at Lindsay Lohan, redhead then brunette then blonde then auburn...I would do anything to have red hair, green eyes and freckles. It's individdual and god damn sexy! So, next time you go out, be proud of your locks and try and set a new trend! Be yourself and be happy!

Dark red sounds lovely. I think it's naturally ginger people that seem to get picked on. Have you seen the Catherine Tate sketch where ginger people go for therapy at "Russett Lodge"? It's hilarious!! I'm 36 years old, and for as long as I can remember, ginger people have been ridiculed.

i have naturally long dark redish hair greenish hazel eyes and a few freckles and i did get picked on a little but i would never change my hair color i now dont get picked on now i think 1 of the reasons people pick on redheads is that it naturally rare and different and they dont like different thats y you see people wearing literally the same clothes and all having the same hairstyle and i would call people like that sheep always following the leader and never goin there own way

None of the above. It was just a South Park skit. A very funny skit, nonetheless. Maybe a little sheer rudeness. Bust mostly none of the above.

Agreed! Do you like my ginger cat? lol

People always look for something to be nasty about, its their own pathetic insecurity and they need lives.
