The vet is the only one who can tell you, maybe pump the dog's stomach though.

My sister's neighbor's dog had its kidneys flushed, kind of like dialysis. Spent two days in the animal hospital about 150 miles away, as this was not something that the vet could do. The animal spent some time on an IV afterwards. Seems to be OK.
This was over $500 and lots of stress, travel, lost work. Totally sucks.

Unless it just ate it and you want to induce vomiting you need a vet. The food is affecting the kidneys and you need to keep an eye on blood levels. I will do many things at home but your vet not even a vet tech should be trusted with monitoring blood levels when it comes to a pets kidney and liver.

Several general practitioner vets have had success with IV fluids to flush the kidneys. The sooner done, the better chance for the dog.

Contact poison control immediately.
Tell them what your pet ingested and how much. Heed their advice and rush your dog to the vet ASAP.

other than taking to the vet...I once called the poison control center because my dogs ate something poisonous and they told me to have them drink peroxide and that will make the dog throw up...

Good Luck

The vet can give it a dose to make it vomit until its stomach is empty. But it needs to be done within a few minutes.

try to induce vomiting. give him a spoonful of mustard and the dog should start emptying his stomach. After that take him to the vet.
