Over the past two years I have made some extream life style changes that have greatly benefited my health and appearance. For example, my senior year of highschool - all i ate was french fries. Thats all I liked. Now? I dont even remember when the last time I ate a fry was. I'm very proud of myself for making some of the changes that I have.

However, I am still about 70lbs overweight. I want to make myself a daily list of "choices" to pick from for breakfast, lunch, snack, and dinner. How it will work is - each morning, I can only eat ONE of something on the list for 'breakfast'..and then for lunch, and so on. I will circle what I am eating so that I can keep track (almost like a journal)..I will also have to pick an activity for each day.

What are some healthy food choices for these times of day (Bkfast, snack, lunch, dinner)... i'm a VERY pickey eater - i do love fruits and veggies though - however meet is NOT my friend (i eat some chicken, but not much..)..

my reason for doing this is becuase somebody made a good point to me. I might be eating HEALTHY but its not just about eating healthy foods, its about eating less. I think that this will help me control my portion size (For example, some of my breakfast choices are "1 packet of oatmeal, 1 4oz container of yogurt")..and thats all that i can have for breakfast. I think that in creating a new and healthy lifestyle, getting a good grasp on portion sizes are important.

And i already know that water is very healthy. I drink nothing but water (its always been that way, even since i was a child...i hate juice and sodas)....

My family is crazy about smoothies for breakfast! I use the reduced calorie carnation instant breakfast powder in vanilla for the base, add some skim milk, yogurt (we prefer strawberry most of the time - and you can get it in a big tub from WalMart), frozen berries and a banana. Dump all ingredients in the blender (sprinkle the powder on the top so it gets pulled down into the liquids and incorporates well) and add 2/3 ice cubes and whip it up good and frothy. We love them! Plus, you can have breakfast to go! Good luck! CHEERS!

I actually turned vegetarian about 1 yr. ago and gained weight. I ate too much pasta and bread. Then I took it to the extreme and became a fruitarian "yes an actual word". Now I eat fruits all day long, almonds, sunflower seeds and drink just water or tea. I've been losing 3lbs. a week. I only lost 15lbs. on Jenny Craig in 4 mths. I'm never hungry because if I am, I grab an apple or orange. I've gotten rid of most of my cravings, ice cream, chocolate, pastries. I have more energy and my joints don't hurt. Soon I may add whole grain rice and beans. I'm 48 so it was getting very hard to lose weight. I just started exercising so I hope to boost my 3lbs. a week up to 4 or 5. good luck!

you are undereating obviously. its not a lifestyle - you are gona start having serious problems soon if not already (hair falling out, skin breaking out, depression etc) its a highway to anorexia.
find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter your stats, take 300-400 calories off that number and that's how much you need to lose weight.
5-8servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water a day
5-6 small meals instead of 3 big ones (breakfast is the most important - make sure to get complex carbs like whole wheat bread, oatmeal, fruit etc)
4-6 times a week cardio for 30-50min, light weight training, many reps
no junk food, no sodas, no alcohol, no white flour (cakes, cookies, white bread, pasta etc.), nothing high in sugar (ice cream)

Congrats on wanting to get healthier.
For breakfast I stick to really healthy things like fruit, 2% milk, cereal (whole grain), or whole wheat toast, eggs, maybe a slice of cheese.
Snacks: trail mix, crackers, fruit fruit and more fruit. Vegetables, too!

You didn't mention exercising and that is REALLY KEY into losing weight.

What i do is eat 5-6 small meals a day (it speeds up your metabolism and makes you fuller faster....hence, allowing you to lose weight) and do some cardio/weight training 3 times a week.

It keeps me in prime shape. :)
