No cures. But it can be managed effectively.
Exercise is good, but you need to do right kind of exercise. Depending on the person managing it each classification of scoliosis may require different exercises. So you may want to refer yourself to a professional.
Chiropractic has been known to help with symptomatic side of scoliosis quite well. In fact, this is the most common and effective form of treatment for symptomatic relief from scoliosis. The hard part is finding the right chiropractor as scoliosis can be a quite challenging case for a lot of chiropractors.
Another alternative is a soft brace. There's what's called Spinecor brace which is flexible and soft. It gives stability and support for spine and can ease scoliosis symptoms..it may do some correction as well. Check it out at http://www.myscoliosis.net

There is no 'cure' for scoliosis, but there are measures that can be taken to help prevent it from getting worse. Most everybody has some degree of scoliosis and for some it never bothers them and they never even know. If scoliosis is found when a person is young and still growing, a doctor (most likely an orthopaedic specialist) will have the patient wear a brace for a required number of hours per day. When one is done growing, there are less options. Here suggestions may include Physical Therapy, monitoring of the curve, and possibly surgery. My scoliosis was found when I was 17 and a half. My curve was 40 degrees then. My doctor sent me to Physical Therapy and monitored my curve, remeasuring every few months over a year and a half. For me, Physical Therapy wasn't working. And when my curve hit 58 degrees we decided to do surgery. This was a preventative measure for me, because with my curve continuing to grow, there was a chance that it may one day begin to push on my organs. So pain. Well, some people have pain and some do not. And depending on the person and their type of pain, things may or may not work for them. For me, the best way for me to describe my pain was that my bones were aching. And it helped for me to take 800 mg of ibuprofen once in the morning and once in the evening. Physical Therapy may also be suggested to help strengthen muscles and possibly to help relieve pain. You should always talk with your doctor about your pain, how much it hurts and specifically where. A doctor could also help you decide which method of treatment is best for your particular situation. I really hope this was helpful to you, you can e-mail me if you have more questions. Good Luck!

rest...proper body mechanics and position.Stretching the tensed or shortened muscle side will also help. Scoliosis is correctable with braces if you are under 16 y/o but if you're way older than that...preventing the progression of the rotation of your spinal vertebra would be the thing. You can aid stretching by putting your hands raised on the wall and going against the side of the shortened muscle by slowly crawling your hands against that side(shortened muscle or the concave side of the c-curve)...hold it for 15-30 seconds...do it 2x a day...30 sets each.

According to your age. If you are still young, then you can get fitted for a back brace, this is normally worn until age 18. If you are older you will need to have surgery.

visit a chiropractor and he'll straighten things out ;) worked very very well for me, but it's a tad bit expensive, but worth it in the long run. acupuncture and taking supplements don't quite help much. Also, get a good hard bed.
