how do I glue/weld nylon, mylar, polyester films?

Airplane glue, like you use on models, would probably be the best. My husband has done model rocketry for 40 years, and he swears by it. The best way to do it is to put a little on a paper plate, and put just a drop of it where you need it, using the tip of a toothpick.
