Its all sirens open also . Or sometimes I see a lot of NYPD car parked same locations for example 7th ave 42 th st....is it about emergency or kind of police car show ?

PS : But watch this passings is really beautiful, everybody says woooow and all tourist "let`s recooooord"

It is a type of response drill. It measures response time in case of an emergency, depending on the size of the "drill ". Some of them are precinct wide, some are borough wide, and some are even citywide. If you look at the pct. #'s on the cars you cal tell how expansive the drill is. Pcts #'s 39 and under are generally manhattan, 40's and 50's the bronx, 60's, 70's 80's Brooklyn, 100's queens and staten island has 2. 102 and 120. Hope that helps.

its a show a force. Its to discourage any terrorist activities in the city. Its basically telling terrorists "We're here, we dare you to do something about it!!!" After 9/11, the NYPD have been doing this "come mess with us again and see what we will do to you" attitude.

i usually cheer when they pass by likes its a parade
cuz it looks like one
