yes they do work, they work straight away, you can buy one that is a spray, pets at home have a good supply but they are expensive between £40-£120,i never bought one of these i borrowed one from a lady from dog training so i no it works, you could also use a squirt bottle full of water this also works just as well.

The only type that work ALL the time are the electric bark collars. They work on all dogs, all the time. Everything else out there is a waste of time and money. I have used them for years with excellent results and never a problem. And to the one person here who said that they cause throat cancer, please get your facts straight. Provide the evidence behind your claim or do not bring up such things that just provide more ammunition to the humaniacs who have no idea what works EFFECTIVELY and what does not. Oh, by the way, these collars work within the first minute of being put on the dog, just make sure it on right.

If you are talking about shock collars I have heard they cause throat cancer, if you are talking about the citronnella collars I bought one and paid quite a bit and it doesnt work. Call "Bark Busters" they train in the same concept as the Dog Whisperer. They are all over Austrailia, US and Canada and its one fee and a lifetime guarentee. I used them for my beagle and its great!

There are some out there that works. And it should work right away if you leave the collar on.
Just make sure you get the right one for your dog... Ask your vet what one they suggest.
