I don't know where STILL goes in negative sentences. I know that YET is used in the final of sentences in negative cases, but I don't if it can be used in the middle of sentences.

The word "still" almost always immediately precedes the verb in negative sentences:

"He still hasn't read the book"; "I still don't know how to speak Chinese"; "It still isn't warm enough to swim in the sea".

As you observe, "yet" usually comes last in the phrase, but it can also follow the verb (but not precede it). In fact, the use of "yet" immediately after the verb is arguably more correct, though rarer in colloquial speech.:

"He hasn't come home yet" or "He hasn't yet come home"
"I haven't read the book yet" or "I haven't yet read the book"
"She is not old enough to drive yet" or "She is not yet old enough to drive".

I still can't go skiing because there is no snow in the mountains.

I haven't gone skiing yet because (...)

"yet" is very often used with the present perfect.
"still" preceeds the finite verbal form.

you can also use "yet" at the very beginning of a sentence, but in this case, it's not in the same meaning as in "not ... yet" but rather like "however"...
ex: yet, I don't know if I'm going to skiing...

Still: Beofre the main verb, unless the verb is to be, them after to be.

I still haven't found my keys.
He is still unable to find his keys.
He is still unemployed.

I would put still after the subject. "I still haven't written my paper" edit: but still goes after the verb to be. "I'm still not ready to go"

"He's still alive, yet barely breathing." Something like that?
