Has anyone noticed when you buy them in multi packs, the packet is only half full, if that sometimes.

Why do they make the packs with less in just because they are from a multi pack, a packet of crisps is a packet of crisps to me, unless you want the big packets for sharing.

Walkers excuse for this is that,

"The public would not be prepared to pay the true price of a multi-pack, if the individual bags within contained a similar amount to single retail packs. In our opinion, our multi-packs are very good value for money, & public surveys have shown that our 25g bags are an ideal size for snacking."

Typical manufacturers bullsh*t as far as I'm concerned, but there you go..

Hi Lucy,
Just for fon, I scrunged up a packet of Walkers "cheese & onion" jobs from a muti-pack, then wieighed all the crumbs on fine scales.
It transpired that despite the claim that the nett weight of the contents should be 25g. it was actually 19.5g.
Disaster ! The contents actually amounted to about one quarter of a very small spud, with a tad of chemical flavouring.
I had been sold a bag of air.

Then what to do with the bag? It weighed in at 7g, so I put it in the mail back to Mr Walker.

I advise all others to do the same.
They may get the message that we are not to be conned !

All the best,
Bob.

The packets in multi packs have always been smaller than a bag you buy separately.

it's the crisp makers way of saving money as compare the price of a single and fuller packet to that of a multipack then to buy 6 packs of single ones would cost more than a multipack with half the weight inside them.

I totally agree, i buy the 26 pack of cheese and onion, and quite frankly, the packet they come in and the big pack overall could be half the size! AND I'm annoyed they've stopped my fav. flavour in the posh ones, the mushroom with white wine, they were the best!

It's not fair is it? Have you tried Walkers Baked Crisps yet? They are lurrrrrrvely!! Especially the cheese& onion. However, you do only get about 8 crisps in a bag!

Multi pack crisps are generally a smaller weight than individual packs.

McCoys are typical of this. 50g for individual packs but the multi packs are around 25g.

Walkers crisps have to only fill the bags up coz if they didn't there would be no room for the crisps to move around when they are in your trolley and if they where filled up they would crack and brake and you would end up with crums!
