For checked baggage you can not check any dangerous goods this includes anything flamable or corrosive including anything that once had gasoline in it such as chainsaws etc. For carry on items are even stricter no sharp cutting insturments, no liquids in more then 3oz containers inside 1 quart size ziplock bag.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "stuff". It's your carry-on baggage that is the problem these days & you should check with your travel agent on exactly what you can & can't take on the plane with you.

Some of the things we cannot take on the plane in Canada are: bottles of any liquids (unless it is bought after you pass security), make up, metal nail files & nail clippers
Medications need to be in their original container and then in a plastic bag.

You can put shampoos, make up etc. all in your check in luggage without a problem.

Instead of asking "What can I take?" you should really ask "What can I not take?" and then what you can take will be "Anything but that."

With that, in the US the latest luggage restrictions are availaable at http://www.tsa.gov/. If you are flyling in another country, you will need to check with that country's rules.

Your best and safest bet is to check with the airline you are traveling on for rules and restrictions. It changes often, so I hesitate to post here what you "can" and "cannot" do.

nothing sharp in hand luggage, nothing that has liquid unless it,s very small amount 100ml or less and that includes make up,clotted creame ,water ..anything at all......also you must not have two bags ie.hand bag and shopping bag, they must be in one bag plus a small case or rucksack,it is ok to pack these things in a case if you are checking them into the hold
