Is it something thats added, or is it just saying its breast meat from next to the ribs??

Some chicken breast cuts and processed chicken breast products include the moniker "with Rib Meat." This is thought to be the blackish meat surrounding and in between the rib cage.

rib meat is basically cut of chicken which contain the rib bones. they are normally located below the breast and tenderloin of the chicken.

I thought that rib meat WAS the breasts.Rib meat is white meat. I do know that.

I always thought it was the tenderloin. I notice that the ones that don't say rib meat, don't have tenderloins attached.
