Like adults, they think that the grass is greener over the other side?
Anyway, they probably want some cuddling, hugging, petting and body warmth. Training them early to sleep on their own is a common problem for parents in Asia.
However, this is necessary and it takes a while to train. As they grow older, they will want to sleep on their own bed.

My small kids hate to sit still or be contained to 1 spot for too long.
